KOGI'S NOVEMBER FOOL
November 23,
is a day , most especially Kogites and ardent supporters of Late Prince Abubakar
Audu with sadness, bitterness , anger and a high sense of loss. That day would
have gone down in contemporary history as the day of the first recorded resurrection.
The whole
country was agog with jubilation, including those who never wished the Late
Prince Abubakar Audu, the All
Progressive Congress, gubernatorial candidate, won the election. What
was the euphoria all about? It was the supposed coming back from the land of
the dead of the Late Prince Audu.
A prophet,
probably high on drugs or suffering from high fever, with his team of prayer
warriors had gone to his compound to demand that he be allowed to wake him from
his deep sleep. The family rebuffed him but the youth,
including those who do not believe in prayer could heal
as small sickness as an headache, will not take a no for an answer. They will
not allow this golden opportunity of
bringing back to life of their
hero slip by. They prevailed on the family, albeit forcefully ,to allow the
MESIAH perform his miracle and wake the Prince .
Case
settled, darling Prophet went into action. Expectations hung in the air. Some
possibly, making a vow to God should this first wonder of the nation come to
pass.
The crowd,
who had suddenly forgiven their debtors in other to being in a state of grace,
in anticipation of their miracle became agitated and started calling for the head
of the prophet .They threatened fire and brimstone. Any one present would have
thought the prophet inability to fulfill his earlier promise of having the
ability to resurrect Late Audu was the cause of his death .
The question
here is, who sent him, the prophet? God or he sent himself? I make bold to say
God never sent him because he who sends he empowers. He never even consulted
God before embarking on this embarrassing miracle crusade. If he did he went in
defiance to God's order. Hence, his state of gracelessness.
We should
learn not to play God no matter how much power we might think we possess. All
power belong to the Almighty God. He alone goes by the name Jehovah, Allah,
Chukwu Abieme. There is none beside name. He does not share His Glory with any
man. Whatever power we possess in His name should be exercised in deference to
Him. We should consult and listen to His direction and not take our on course
because when He speaks, His word does not return to him void. It must
accomplish that which it is set out to do.
Let those
(who claimed they are) called by God to stop ridiculing the name of the Omni
Potent God. What He says He will do, that s what He will do. That is why He is
called JEHOVAH.
