Rivers United face a tough tie against Enugu Rangers, squad hit by injury

 Rivers United will be going into the match day 14 clash in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) against Enugu Rangers on Sunday with a depleted squad.
Speaking with reporters Coach Stanley Eguma lamented on the challenged been faced by the club as about four top attackers will be missing out on the encounter.
“Right now, we have lost the services of
all our first team strikers. Only (top scorer), Chinonso Okonkwo is available.
“It will not be easy to face the strongest team in the league with just one fit striker,” Eguma said.
Among the likely missing faces on the line up include, Yaovi Douhadji, Wilson Andoh, Godbless Asomoah and Guy Kuemian,
According to the team Doctor, Chukwemeka Agi “Douhadji has not trained for almost a week and he will definitely miss out on the game against Rangers.
“His breathing is irregular and he’s complained of tiredness most of the time.
“He is currently at the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMSH) and will undergo further medical tests on Thursday,”
Also to be missing in action against the Flying Antelopes is Wilson Andoh who is suffering from rupture knee ligaments.
Ando suistaned the injury during last week encounter against Plateau United.
Ghanaian forward Asamoah has been ruled out due to hamstring, a challenge he has been contending with through out the season.
Guy Kuemian, has picked up an injury in the match against Heartland FC at Owerri on the left quadriceps which has aggravated.
The Rivers side will be going into this encounter with the home crowd backing them against the league leader who a currently top with 24 points from 12 matches while Rivers United are seventh with 19 points
