Budget will be passed before the end of March- Speaker Dogara

SPEAKER of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara assured the Nigerian business community of the commitment of the National Assembly to pass a workable budget before the end of March when the current financial year will come to an end.

assured the group that all hands are on deck to ensure a good budget is passed on time.

In his word, “No sooner than later, hopefully by the end of next month, we will have it (2016 budget) ready"
On the loss of business to neighbouring countries due to lack of requisite infrastructure in the country raised by NACCIMA, the Speaker promised to enact a Competition Law regime that would attract and encourage investors.

Dogara, also harped on the need for the diversification of the economy and reiterated the commitment of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration towards enacting friendly legislations that would promote non-oil sector especially agriculture and solid mineral.
