Speaking with journalist Wike, clarified the circumstances that led to the arrest of his Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Kenneth Kobani.
According to him the, SSG, who by extension is the Secretary of the Security Council, had tried to stop an anomaly about to be perpetrated by INEC and security operatives by commencing the distribution of  election materials at 3pm.
He said the Secretary insisted it was impossible to start distributing material by 3pm for an election that was  supposed to end by 2pm.
This according to him made the security operatives to arrest and lock him up in their amoured personnel carrier.
The governor described the activities of the security operatives as "acting beyond their brief."
Kobani and the APC senatorial Candidate Magnus Abe are from the same local government hence the reason for the actions of INEC and security operatives.
