Kenyan athlete, Abraham Kipton wins Lagosmarathon


Kenyan athlete, Abraham Kipton, has emerged winner of  the maiden edition of Access Bank Lagos City Marathon race with a time of 2 hours, 16 minutes and 21 seconds.
The long distance race has since been dominated by the Kenyans.
The host country, Nigeria had Emmanuel Gyang as the first Nigerian to cross the finish line.
The Lagos Marathon race hosts over 20,000 local and international athletes.\
The starting line of the race is the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos and the finish line is the Eko Atlantic City in Victoria Island.
No record was set at the event.
Among the dignitaries who were at the finish line to withness the event are,  the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, the Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung, the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, Chairman, Solomon Ogba and other dignitaries.
